Summary: This took a couple swings to get used to. I purchased the 4 fairway wood and nearly matched my driver in distance. Crisp hits, and good feedback on hits. The 4 wood was a quality replacement for my hard to hit 3 Cobra FP. This allows you to launch like a 5 wood but the distance of a 3 (in my case, driver). Definitely worth the money. I couple with the lightest shaft I could get and a super stiff. Wow, what fun!.
Summary: Received the club from Carl's Golfland - very fast shipping. I emailed them because I thought they sent me the wrong headcover. Within two hours I received a reply very nicely explaining that this was the only headcover Callaway made for the Diablo Octane woods and it would stretch after a few rounds. After five rounds I am very happy with the distance and accuracy of the club, and yes the headcover did stretch.
Summary: this was advertised as 'pre-owned', but when I received it, the club head was still wrapped in cellophane, with no ball marks, scrapes or scratches visible. Seems more like an open box, rather than pre-owned...and that's just fine with me.
Summary: Needed a good Fairway wood so being a Callaway golfer I went to the source. The Diablo Octane 3 Fairway Wood proved to be as good or better than advertised. It has given me the answer for all my long second shots. The club is light and durable but most of all it gives me the distance I need. A great Wood from a great company, Callaway. Recommend the product, it gets results.
