Summary: I've been a "low ball hitter" for over fifty years. Even my wedges are low - with the Diablo 9.5 I hit the ball high and long, even bought a 10.5 and a 10.0 with stiff and regular and get the same results. Drives are "high" with more control - a slight draw and quite long. Now I'm experimenting with the three 5 woods I just purchased - trying to get used to hitting the ball so high. The clubs and balls of today do make a difference in your golf game.
Summary: This driver was a great purchase. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an affordable, reliable, well-made driver. Callaway is known for great equipment and this one is no different. The stiff shaft is an excellent fit to my game. Hitting the ball straighter and farther than I ever have with my older, "generic" drivers.
Summary: I love the look and feel of this driver. I hit a full bucket of balls with it and hit every one except for one over 250 yards. Some went as far as 275. I normally would only drive the ball about 235 or so with my Callaway Steel Head plus. If you are considering buying this driver do it. You will love it to. Best $50 I ever spent on a golf club.
Summary: I bought this Driver for my husband for Father's Day. He was very impressed with my choice of a gift. He loves it. I always see him get a smile on his face when he selects it from his golf bag to use. Thank you!
Summary: This is a great driver for the mid handicap player. The club has a reasonable length (45") Aldila Habanero shaft which loads easily with a midpoint kick. Launches the ball a little higher than the 9.5 degree loft would suggest, but not too much. Sounds good, but not as good as a Cobra. Very easy to work the ball with this driver-- one of the best 2010 offerings out there at this price point.
Summary: Great distance, trajectory, sound and feel at impact. I have played an FT-5 with various shafts from stiff to regular and none have been as long as the Diablo Edge Tour with the Stiff habanero shaft. I also play the edge tour 3 wood and have hit it as long as my buddy's driver. He consistently used to out drive me.
