If you can find a set - BUY THEM!

Summary: This was Callaway's best design, well ahead of its time. There is a reason they are holding their value so well and are so hard to find - EXCEPTIONAL quality and game changing performance. I sold my new set of Ping irons to go back to these.
My "Consistent Beauties" are back in the bag and I missed them greatly.

Summary: 1996 Callaway Big Bertha irons, aka "consistent beauties" are a welcomed back commodity in the bag. Gave away my old set to my son because I replaced them with a new Adams set of hybrids. That was a bad idea thinking that I would play better with newer technology. I missed looking down and seeing the oh so familiar muscle back look of metal. The over-sized faces are easier to hit than my Adams hybrids.
Summary: I bought my Calloway irons as a set new in 2002. And to this day, I love these irons. When I broke the 6 iron, I was pretty upset figuring I would not be able to replace the exact iron. I was so happy to find the the exact club to complete my set. It is used, but in better condition than the one I broke.
You can not go wrong with these clubs!! Highly recommended!!!!!!

Summary: I am an avid golfer, I recently purchased a nicely used, well takened cared of 2006 Big Bertha Irons. I've been satisfied with them ever since. Since I've bought these clubs, I've been adding on with Big Bertha S2H2 drivers and fairway woods. Anybody who decides to buy these clubs, I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed.
Summary: Clubs are classic Callaway big berthas. These clubs are well balanced, wide soles are easier to hit consistently. Only model made, one of a kind. I sold mine years ago and regretted ever since. Repurchased first chance I found on Ebay. Can't go wrong.
Good value for the price. I look forward to getting on the driving range.

Summary: I have not had an opportunity to use these clubs yet (too much snow in Chicago.) However, they look good and the price was right. I had been looking for new irons but I really didn't want to pay the 'new price'. I researched older clubs and the comments on these X-12s were great. So, it was the combination of user comments and price that got me to buy these. I was so pleased with this approach that I bought a set of woods and a bag that were used. I would do it again.
It was a great set of clubs in 1996 and remain so today.

Summary: I have had these Callaway Great Big Bertha 1996 clubs for years, in fact I currently have 2 sets still in my golf room now. I have played Ping Eye 2, Zing 2, ISI, G2, G15, Cobra, and Mizuno. But when my swing goes south, I go old school and put the Great Big Bertha 1996 irons back in my bag and get back to basics and the game seems to find it's way back to me. Like putting on a pair of old broken-in shoes.
Summary: The Callaway Big Bertha irons are game imporvement irons designed for high handicapers. The wide sole will prevent digging in the ground with miss shots. The face is large to help with miss hit shots. The irons look very good at address and are excelent quality. This is a product to be proud of when playing with a group of friends.
