Summary: I was looking to upgrade an old 3 wood and found the Adams club at a price I liked. Quick shipping got the club here before the snow was gone. The first time I took it to the course I just loved the way it felt in my hands and when I hit my first shot I was 'in love'. Best 3 wood I ever had!! I'm 65 years old and this is my 50th year of playing this wonderful game. ( Well, most of the time it's wonderful).
Summary: I recommend this driver to anyone who isn't hooked on impressing others by having the latest and greatest, but rather is concerned about results. I have demo'ed just about every driver out there including those painted white and those with bolts, screws and removable shafts, and the A4 is as good as it gets. I particularly like the slightly open face, which allows me to not be afraid of hooking if I have to let one loose.
Conclusion: This ball gives back everything you ask of it. The reaction off the club face is dependable and accurate. Around the greens it is responsive and capable of getting a grip when needed. I am anxious to try the new series out with Callaway.
Summary: I bought it because I hit one in a cage at golf store and fell in love with it instantly. I had a callaway X Hot driver and it felt like I rarely hit the sweet spot. As woon as I began hitting this driver, it felt like I couldn't miss the sweet spot. The club must have been designed with solid contact and good workability (draw and fade) in mind.
Summary: The club is not cut to 44" and of course thats the first thing i notice when i change your terrible grip job, is that you have the damn thing at 42", with an extension whichmakes the club patchwork... your description says it was cut to 44" and pured with no indication that u have overcut a drivershaft...
Conclusion: If you struggle hitting fairway woods when you are in the fairway the Adams really helps. It is shaped in between a conventional fairway wood and a traditional hybrid. The face doesn't feel as lively as my Nike and is about 8 yards shorter. BUT.... this is far and away the easiest fairway wood I have ever hit, off the tee or the fairway. Unbelievably easy to launch high and straight. The Matrix shaft is a "made for" version so its not perfect.
