Conclusion: I was leaning towards the AP2's and then i saw the Pro Gold Irons the pro told me he played them and loved them. I hit a few balls but I was a little nervous they might be to aggressive for me.
Summary: Good club from the tee and rough, not good from tight lies though as the lip is too prominent and it's the biggest downfall for the club. Great choice of top shafts, good strong penetrating flight with little spin. Definitely for the better player with decent swing speeds.
Conclusion: The Idea Pro Gold Hybrid originally retailed for well over $200. It was quite the expensive hybrid. However, today you can find these in most retail shops for $119 . Or, if you want to also give the Idea Pro Gold Irons a shot, the 4 and 3 hybrids are included in the set.
Conclusion: If you are a mid to low handicapper looking for a new set of irons that you can shape, control and absolutely love the feel of…the Idea Pro Golds may be the ticket. As I have said in the past, if you are a mid handicapper (10-20) do not be overly intimidated by a set of clubs like this.
Summary: Idea Pro Gold sets a new standard in hybrids designed for elite players, combining 5% more forgiveness on off—center hits with a 10% improvement in launch conditions while retaining the look, feel and workability that has made the Idea Pro hybrid the #1 hybrid played on tour.
