4 out of 5 rating - foregiving yes, but hybrids arent
19 July 2010
Summary: I've owned these clubs for almost 2 years now. When I bought them new i was told they are the most forgiving clubs on tour and great for beginner golfers.
After almost 2 years, I have to say i agree somewhat with this. If i strike the ball good, these clubs are excellent and i sometimes even get spin on my shots without trying. Where i disagree is with the 3, 4, and 5 irons. I can't, for the life of me, hit these clubs off the fairway.
Summary: I had a very difficult time keeping the ball out of the right rough. After getting these clubs, I found I hit the irons straight where I would aim. I did notice a slight distance decrease, however it was worth the straightness. I had a difficult time getting used to the hybrid irons until I realized they were irons in a different shape. Hitting them like a 3 iron cured my difficulty. I am quite excited about the os-3 clubs. I play at a 14 handicap , 62 yrs old.
