Summary: I try other balls but keep coming back to the HX-Hot for the added distance. I'd rather hit Driver - 6 iron than Driver - hybrid. Since I hit the ball high and play on a course with usually soft greens, I haven't found the lack of spin to be a problem.
Summary: Being a mid handicap player, I don't want to spend a fortune on balls, cos lets face it one or two are not coming home from a round! Been using the Srixon soft feel, but bought 24 of these to give them a go.
Summary: I have a swing speed in the upper 90's. the feel of these upon impact is excellent. i tend to hit these balls better than a ProV1. after a while i used the HX Hot PLUS, good night. i got at least 15yds more out my drive using the PLUS.
Summary: I'm a huge fan of Callaway products, and the HX Hot is one of many great products they provide. For me, this one is absolutely the longest ball I have every played, but on the down side, not much control on the short game.
Summary: Flies long, moderately workable and does a nice job of staying on the green without releasing too much. Putts true. What else could you want. It's not a soft feeling ball, but doesn't feel like a rock either.
Summary: I used this ball for four holes two rounds ago. I got great distance when I used this ball with irons (I was not using the driver that day). As I am not a very advanced golfer, I was not too worried about spin but the golf ball seemed to perform ok around the greens.
Summary: Don't know the difference between the pre-2007 & the 2007 HX Hot. But the distance with the HX Hot 2007 balls are amazing. I have a major slice with my driver and it helps reduce the driver spin/slice compared to a Maxfli Noodle Ice ball.
Summary: I like this ball and will use it more often. 1/2 club to a full club longer than other balls I use. Good feel around the green and enough spin to have the ball check up out of the bunker. I'd put this ball up against any ball in its price range.
