Summary: I have played this ball for 2 rounds. I found not only do I get great distance off the tee (one drive 300+ yds) but it stops on the green very well. I had to get used to it when chipping because it checked up quickly instead of rolling like past balls I have used.
Conclusion: Don’t mind them, but like others have said the scuff up too quickly. good distance and feel, but not enough stopping power for me. i’ll shred the cover with a solid 8i (worse with a LW without milled)and after 6 holes the ball gets tossed away.
Conclusion: Kindly gifted one of these balls from a playing partner and from the first shot things started to happen to my consistency that I had only previously dreamt about.Played 4 1/2 rounds in comp with same ball then splasho. Trying to locate some more-tried 4 retalers & pro shops but no luck yet.
Conclusion: Played with these balls today and i’ll confirm the raving reviews about this ball. I thought the HX HOT was good but this ball blows that away. Excellent off the drivers and just brilliant of the irons. Great amount of spin when chipping. I can’t see me going back to the titleist’s any time soon.
Conclusion: They are a long ball and soft but if you use a wedge with zip grooves or spin milled etc then one full shot will shred the cover.. I pulled a brand new one out the other day crunched the drive hit a full gap wedge into the green (about a foot or 2 of backspin which is what the ball is supposed to...
Conclusion: My Club Pro told me that the new Callaway HX Hot Bites are the best ball on the market, but he will tell you about very product that he sells. My first impression wasn’t that hot as I smashed the new ball off the tee and straight into the dam.
