Excerpt: This ball is a bit overpriced, but has a lot of positive qualities. It is extremely durable ,I have hit cart paths and the ball remains in excellent shape. They are relatively low spin off the drivers and will react well in and around the green. I like the feel and the fact you can play an entire round with one ball, if you don't lose it.
Excerpt: Purchased a dozen of these HEX Chromes today and went to my usual course to test them out and compare with my current NXT Tour and Bridgstone E6. This ball truly lives up to the hype in terms of distance and control. I couldn't help but recalculate the distance off the first tee shot which left me just 100 yards out with a 3 wood drive !!! One hole par 5 was 535 yards and I smoked the drive that left me 205 yards to the pin!! Really !!!
Excerpt: I tried a dozen of these in the hope that they would provide the advertised added distance at lower swing speeds (and more spin than the Diablo Tour that I have been playing). As advertised, it spins more than a distance ball and the cover is perceptably softer. The only "but" is--my swing speed to 88 mph and I see about a 10 yard loss of distance with the driver when compared to the Diablo Tour and no distance difference from the hex tour ball.
Excerpt: My favorite midrange ball of all time is the Hot Bite ball from several years ago. It had everything except durability. Hex Chrome is the latest midrange ball from Callaway. It has the familiar Callaway dimples, but it's softer than the previous offerings from the company. The ball also has good durability. I'm not shooting the lowest numbers with the Hex Chrome, but my overall score has consistently improved.
Excerpt: This new ball by Callaway is just what the doctor ordered. It has good distance and stops on shots into the green. A great combination of feel and distance. All mid handicappers should love it. Good job Callaway!!
