Summary: I found this product heavier than I expected and after a while it becomes tiring to use. As others have said the cut-out of the motor unless the extended tube is pulled out fully is a real pain, especially if you accidentally bump something, however lightly. It has now failed completely on me and I don't know if it is to do with the cut-out function mentioned or the motor has actually died. I assumed it had died in the end. I would not buy this product again.
Unreliable, inconsistent and has an inherent design fault

Summary: I am going to try it for the 3rd time since buying it to see if I can get it to work consistently. There is a far too sensitive a locking position on the tube extension. If that does not engage properly then you get cut out that drives me mad. When it does work it works very well. If I get the same problem on its 3rd try I will return it and try a more reliable blower/vacuum.
Summary: This may be a good product but I haven't had enough working experience due to two serious faults. Firstly the bag blows off when in the collect mode regardless of the bag content / weight. Secondly the cut off system has no locking mechanism to hold the extended pipe in position. This REALLY is a pain as it is so sensitive, the slightest bump cuts the machine out.
Summary: Bought this blower a couple of days ago. Used it for half hour but the thing keeps cutting out. Apparently the extendable section must be fully extended or the power cuts out. Unfortunately, once extended there is no proper locking mechanism, so whenever the tip of the blower touches the ground the thing cuts out. Sooooo frustrating. This is going back to the shop - NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.
Summary: The blower/vacuum is robust and powerful but the collection beg fixing is next to useless. It simply blows off when you switch in on or when the bag is about a quarter full. The only way it really works is if you hold it on - not the easiest position. Suggest Ryobi try out their products before they release them for sale!
Summary: I used the Ryobi in the dry and it worked superbly. However when I used it in the damp the mulcher couldn't cope and kept jamming which meant I had to keep stripping it down and manually clearing the mulcher. The first time I tried to switch it from suck to blow the lever failed as there was too much muched vegetation jammed behind the switching plate and I suspect that when I tried to switch it broke presumably because the plate was jammed.
Summary: Although a little concerned by some of the reviews, the Ryobi still looked the best of the bunch and good value! The RBV2800S made short work of wet leaves on wet lawn & gravel path (Vac & Blower), the resulting mulch very easy to manage.
