Excerpt: This strimmer replaced an earlier version, which like all things just plain wore out, it appears to be much lighter, but given the present climate on things getter smaller and lighter, still a good product.
Excerpt: we got this for my boyfriends mum as she was looking for one that was easy to use. No easy instructions were given for how to use strimmer and the cord broke after 30 secs of use. which is what we were looking to be without. after a good half an hour of working out what to do loads of wire was hanging out.

Conclusion: Lightweight, easy to use but very effective. Battery power lasts a long time and charges up rapidly anyway. Simple to change the plastic blade as required. Telescopic handle very useful to adjust to a convenient height for different people. Very easy to swap over to use from an edging tool to use as a horizontal cutter .

Conclusion: Very pleased with the quality, adjustability, lightness, battery life and portability; BUT and it's a big but; I find it useless for the purpose for which I bought it, namely tidying up grass and weeds growing up to wall, tree and fence edges etc. The problem is, that with the blade guard extended to protect the blade, it sandwiches the grass between the guard and wall and doesn't cut it. If you retract the guard, then one false move and you wreck the blade on the wall.
