Summary: bought this bosch hedgecutter as my old one was useless on my hedge with its long blade 70cm and staying power it makes the other cutters look like toys its big and heavy but it dosnt stop for anything if you are looking for something that does the job this is it
Summary: I bought this in August 2010, together with the corresponding Bosch 'Collecto' and lubricant spray, and paid just under £127 in total. The cutter has always worked well and has been used regularly (we have around 400m of mainly beech hedging of up to 3m height to cut twice a year, although the hedges don't always get a trim that frequently!). In October 2013 the safety handle jammed (it had increasingly been a little 'sticky') and so the product no longer worked.
Summary: This hedge cutter has already received numerous praises - almost 100% top ratings - and therefore I shouldn't waste the time and space, except to register my wow! factor with 5 stars. I used a number of mediocre hedge cutters (now I know!), mainly because I never had to contend with above average massive hedges, and they all ended up in recycling depots in a short space of time. Using this Bosch hedge cutter made me realise the money and time wasted over the years.
Summary: I have used my old reliable B&D trimmer for more years than I can remember and it is still going strong. I purchased the AHS 7000 in March and although it certainly makes short work of my hedge, I was annoyed to find that on cleaning, before storing it, I found that the blade tip protector and bolt had disappeared. As I have only used the trimmer 3 times it does not say much for its reliability.
Summary: Arrived direct from the amazon warehouse. Minimal additional packaging consisting of the suppliers original packaging (shop display box) with the grey amazon poly bag on the outside. So it wasn't thoroughly protected and I could imagine it would be possible to damage the blade. No problems with the unit that arrived. The cutting power of this Bosch trimmer is great.
Summary: This tool is brilliant. Having been fed up of my gardener never cutting the hedges properly and having felt too awkward to tell him this I thought I'd do it myself. I bought this on the basis of the reviews on Amazon. I'm a lady so it's a bit too heavy for me... Which made it perfect for my husband ... Wink wink. He normally hates gardening but was so overwhelmed with this tool that he spent the whole day cutting the hedges! We were both very pleased with the results.
Summary: I bought this to tame an overgrown privet that has proved too much for other, cheaper trimmers. It did the job like the proverbial knife through butter. The wide gaps between its teeth accommodate the thicker stems and the blades slice powerfully without risk of jamming or bending. It is a heavy machine, but the ease of cutting compensates for the weight by reducing the time spent wrestling with the hedge.
Summary: Wow! Why did I wait so long before buying one of these? Cutting all my bushes plus countless yards of hedge used to take me 20 plus hours, and left me tired, stressed and grumpy. I used this model for the first time this season and finished the whole job in just under SEVEN hours. The machine is surprisingly light and easy to use, and I highly recommend it to anyone who dreads the annual hedge-cutting chore.
Summary: I bought the Bosch AHS 7000 Pro-T Electric Hedgecutter on sept 10 2009.My privots are about 6ft 6ins high,3ft 4ins thick and total cutting length of privots (both sides) is about 106ft.I have used this cutter twice a year to cut my privots and it has never faulterd, until now.I had just finished cutting all my privot and the cutter stopped working, the cutting blades just slowed down and stopped. So i think, although these hedgecutters are very good work horses i dont think...
Highly recommended product, weight not an issue for me

Summary: Some background. I have about 200 metres of oldish privet hedge to cut, height ranging from 2 to 4 metres. I moved from a good brand petrol engine hedgecutter to the Bosch AHS 7000 PRO-T for one reason: I had had enough of breathing fumes and getting headaches or feeling odd as a result. - Advantages of the petrol hedgecutter: no power chord to mind, which also means you get the job done a bit faster. Advantages of the Bosch AHS 7000: no fumes. Blade length.
