Summary: I purchased the Bosch AHS52 cordless hedgetrimmer for use in trimming our hedge and various bushes in our garden. I was pleasantly surprised by how light and easy to use it is. We haven't got any thick branches to cut through, so this model meets our needs extremely well.
Summary: This is the first hedge trimmer I have owned, up till now have used shears. Don't have a typical hedge, more climbing things on a trellis such as honeysuckle but as it's about 3 metres high, I need a ladder. Decided to risk getting a cordless one as it was lighter and lithium is an improvement on NiCad though was tempted by a longer corded one. I eventually decided against it as this was considerably lighter.
Summary: It was just as the web specified and it arrived quickly and was well packed. The trimmer works well and the batteries (Li ion) are far better than those in a previously owned model (those were NiCad)
Summary: I had been looking around for a new mains hedge trimmer to replace my aging B&D relic, but had never really considered going cordless. However, once I came across the Bosch 52Li and did a bit of research I realised I might be missing out on a good thing. What I found out is that this model is available either as a complete package (trimmer + battery + charger) or as a "bare" version (just the trimmer) for those that already have the compatible battery and charger for use...
Summary: I bought this to trim our hornbeam hedge, which it does well. Seeing how easily it coped, I tried using it to remove an unwanted hedge, just literally swiped it along the bottom of a wild hedge, the anti blocking works very well, cuts branches of almost 1cm diameter, saved me hours of work, I even used it to trim a tree whilst I was there. Battery lasts about 20 mins, but I've got a few Bosch tools with the same battery, so an easy supply of power.
Summary: Got rid of our old hedge trimmer with cable for this lightweight cordless version. Great new boy's toy and hedge that took over an hour to be cut now takes 15 minutes because there is no faffing with cables, sockets, etc.
