Summary: Great weight and balance. I have found the battery pack does not last for more than about 20-25 minutes which is disappointing. It seems to lose its charge when left on the hedgecutter over night.
Summary: This works well and the batteries last quite a long time. But according to the instructions the charger cannot be left unattended; it will not switch itself off when the battery is charged. I have forgotten this and left it on charge for a 48 hours and the battery has survived, but it sounds as if I was lucky to get away with this.
Summary: Good lightweight hedge trimmer. Pity the batteries don't last that long and are very expensive to replace, in fact I bought a new hedge trimmer for less than the price to replace 2 batteries for my 2 year old one.
Summary: The light weight and good ergonomic design make this trimmer a good choice for general purpose use. Another advantage of the light weight is allow the manoeuvrability that is required to profile or add a decorative touch to hedge trimming.
Summary: Update June 2012: Almost three years after buying, the hedgecutter just won't start at all, using either battery, and I have had to purchase a new one. This is disappointing as it was such a good tool and I expected longer use out of it. (I notice several of the negative reviews on here are from people who have owned it longer and experienced similar, so be aware it may not last much beyond the 2 year guarantee). I have downgraded it from five to four stars as a result.
