Summary: The first time I played this game, I found a new love. This game is such an addiction to all the people who love the water. If I ever get this game again, I will be the happiest dude in tho world!!! You CAN'T find a better Wave Rider game than this. I recommend it.
Summary: This is the first game I got for my Cube, and it's perhaps still my favourite. Obviously I love racing games; if you can't stand them, then this isn't going to win you over. In fact, the main criticism that's been levelled at this game is that it's inaccessibly challenging, putting off more casual race game fans. This might have some truth in it, particularly for the younger gamers, who have been brought up on easier games.
Excerpt: "...looks fantastic. A giant wave coming towards you definatly adds to the excitemnet of this exhilerating racer. What I find even more better is that the graphics play a part in the game, as the waves are essential to go through the courses. On a smaller note the sounds also play nicley where the races take place. There will be relaxing music playing or even rock music. All that can heared through the sound options menu. The vioces are the most annoying ...
Summary: I don't understand some of the poor reviews I've seen of this game. Especially the Amazon.co.uk review, it seems the reviewer hasn't read the instruction manual properly at all because to say the jet ski's handle like a milk float is just plain misleading and wrong. You can turn them 360 degrees extremely quickly if you learn the basic controls, it's not hard, even for a beginner.
Excerpt: "...the third game in the wave race series and is definatly the best out of the three. YEEHAW! The entire prospect of the game is to race around buetiful looking tracks on highspeed jet skis weaving in and out of byos racing against seven other opponents. Its wet, wild and fun! GRAPHICS The graphics of waverace are simply spectacular. The water effects are super realistic with all the reflections. The jetskis and riders alike all move convincingly ...
Summary: I live on a small island and see the sea everyday on my way to school. So belive me when i say the water and weather efects are GORGEOUS! along with the briliant details added in such as loads of fishy animals in the water, the briliant backgounds to the levels, the reflections and the fancy efect of the rain hitting the water. GORGEOUS! However graphics dont make a game, it's the gameplay, playability and depth thats important.
Summary: Wave Race: Blue Storm is a superb sequel to Wave Race for N64. The water is even more realistic, there are more tracks and the controls are more complex for even more tricks and moves. And of course it's all even more fun in the 4 player mode! If you like race games, you shouldn't miss this game!
Summary: Any Nintendo fan will have played Wave Race 64; in fact anyone who calls themselves a 'gamer' should have probably played this amazing game before. Playability, depth, fun and easily the most realistic water effects that had ever been seen - this really was a classic N64 game. So, five years on can we hold Wave Race: Blue Storm in the same high esteem?
