Summary: Whilst the current crop of UFC games aim to provide a realistic take on MMA, Throwdown is a very different beast. Although populated by actual fighters boasting genuine martial art credentials Throwdown's gameplay is extremely arcadey (sp?), and is far more reminiscent of virtua fighter than undisputed. Time elapses faster than real life and stamina/life bars, intricate combos and split second counters form the guts of the gameplay.
Summary: Manages to bring the atmosphere of the UFC to your livingroom. Very well presented - the music is good and builds the hype, the graphics are much better than other formats, there are a number of modes: legend, chamopinship, exhibition, career, and training etc. The career mode will absorb most people - creating your own fighter from a reasonably good set of skins, voices, attributes and fighting styles to take them up the ladder and becopme the best.
