Cinema to games console - A jump too far...

Summary: The 2009 Gamers Edition of Guinness world records asked the question "How long will it be before we finally see an Oscar for `Best Adapted Gameplay?'. Ever since 1993, there have been many successes and failures when film companies have attempted to adapt a video game into a movie. More common than this is adapting a movie into a video game. The first of these games was `Raiders of the Lost Ark, which was released in 1982.
Summary: A truely awful game for a very average game. Forget the storyline, it's just not relevant. You are the Scorpion King, although you look nothing like the actor, the Rock. You get to run around a very flat city fighting some very blandly animated enimies. You can pick up weapons and shields. You can bash buttons repeatedly. You can smash some of the scenary for healing. You can move onto the next small area once you have killed everyone in the current small area.
Summary: A game based on a character from a spin-off of a sequel to one of the dumbest movies? Okay so the scorpion king licence may not exactly be the most highly prized but its a great start for a 3D action adventure game. Set at the begining of the scorpions king's career, you must stop an evil warlord from raising an army of half-human warriors. well, at least the digital version of the rock cant be worse than in the Mummy Returns...
