The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King

Just RPG
4 March 2004
 • Excerpt: It's a game based on the epic movie, Return of the King, which was based on Tolkien's literature classic, Lord of the Rings. A game based on the movie that recently won 11 Academy Awards including Best Picture! If you've played The Two Towers , don't expect too much innovation though. Return of the King starts off, not at the beginning of the third movie, but at the end of the second.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

Nintendo World Report
20 February 2004
 • Summary: EA's newest game-of-the-movie is still great for a licensed title, but it also has the same problems left over from The Two Towers.
 • Pros: Excellent sound design, Loads of unlockable goodies, Satisfying combat engine, Two-player cooperative play
 • Cons: Camera/environment confusion, Cheap enemy placement in some levels, Terrible mission objectives

Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

The Armchair Empire
22 June 2003
 • Excerpt: There wasn’t much wrong with last year’s Two Towers. The presentation and combat was rock-solid and EA is building on that with more of everything and two-player co-op mode. But here is the official information for your own perusal. One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them… Based on New Line Cinema's upcoming film adaptation of J.R.R.

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
