Summary: This was a pleasant surprise for me. I'll puke out the negative: not very sharp programming (e.g., the edge of a cliff may not be exactly where you SEE it). Apart from the not-so-diligent programming of the game, it is highly enjoyable and fairly good graphics. It takes some time to adjust to the aesthetics of the game but you do after some time. The levels are very good and although the programming is a bit blunt, it does not hinder your progress in any way at all.
Summary: A very attractive game for the younger player. Excellent graphics with detailed characters and scenes, atmospheric sound and music which never becomes annoying, and a well pitched difficulty level make this great to play. As you follow closely the storyline of the book, you interact with characters who assign you quest tasks. Your abilities improve as you progress and collecting gems builds up your courage points to give you more health.
Summary: I was really looking forward to playing this game - how disappointing it turned out to be. The graphics are ok but nothing compared to the likes of Resident Evil et al. The levels are too easy - there seems to be a save point every 100 metres and the lack of puzzles is a real negative. To sum up - too easy, too boring and too short. Save your money!
Summary: This game is amazing, it is second only to Zelda, but Zelda is legendary. The game follows the story brilliantly and the gameplay is amazing. It has some great (to my knowledge) original ideas in it. You will be disappointed if you expect the characters in the game to look and sound like the actors in the LOTR series, the reason is that EA makes LOTR and this game is made by Sierra. Brilliant game whether or noty you have read the book, it might even make you read it.
Summary: The graphics are ok - but compared to games like Resident Evil/Zero, they're nothing special. Puzzles are few and far between and when you do get to one, they're not very difficult. All in all, I am very disappointed with this game. I was really looking forward to it, but its too easy and far too short. Save your money and buy Zelda Wind Waker.
Summary: Are you fed up with Frodo and the fellowship well take a break and go on the quest of his uncle Bilbo. This is one of the most colourfull and detailed games out which is no surprise cause it's already a classic because it was out on the commodor 64 and the spectrum in the 80's. All the characters in the game you can interact with which can lead you to learning new moves for the legendary Sting or just saying that your going in the wrong direction.
Summary: Every Role Playing Game (RPG) holds a substantial amount of fun. The Hobbit, in particular, is quite something else. I rate the game play: good. I rate the graphics: God-Like. I rate everything else: TERRIBLY GOOD. The good things about this game is that its a RPG, and everything has almost tipped the scale rating! I have played this on other platforms.
