Tak + Juju = Fun
11 May 2007
Excerpt: Tak and the power of the juju is a hugely entertaining experience. Using animals to help overcome challenges and obstacles tak provides a fresh scope to platform games. Tak provides cartoony lines to all of his experiences in the game, like "boom shaka laka!" It's quite like all the other platform games out there like Jak and Daxter or Rachet and Clank, except with more charm. The gameplay is a bit the same: " get this..." "collect this... " "Find this ...
Excerpt: Tak and the power of Juju is a platform game for the gamecube which was described as being the best platform game of 2003, so it is quite ancient in comparison to some games, but it is still as much fun. Tak is the main character of the game and we are introduced to him whilst being introduced to Jibolba, an old man is the Shaman of the village Pupanunu and is also Tak's mentor.
Pros: Great platform game, fun for hours, great sound and graphics
Summary: Tak has all the makings of a great title for the cube, but a few shortcomings really spoils it. The game is visually stunning, all of the characters move smoothly and look awesome, the plot is engaging and genuinely funny, and a lot of the dialog and cinematics made me chuckle. There are a couple of sub-games, such as a snowboarding course that are also quite playable. If you like entertainging platform games, you should definitely give tak a try.
Summary: Tak and the power of juju is a platformer for the gamecube and PS2. You play as Tak. Tak's tribe have been turned into sheep by The Evil Tlaloc's Juju. It's up to you to defeat Tlaloc and rescue your tribe from ending up as a sunday roast. In this game most of the puzzles involve animals. Like pushing a chicken onto a chicken activated pad to open the door. The animal interaction is amazing. the animals react to whatever you do and you get killer chickens!
