  • Summary: Despite the slight downfalls Rebel Strike still remains a fantastic games that many can't live up to both in gameplay and technology. Everything is bigger and better than its predecessor Rogue Leader from the TIE's to the environments. The third person parts do have their problems but nothing which can detract from the great game that Factor 5 have yet again delivered.

  • Excerpt: Hello my name is Mike and I am addicted to Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike. You will be to as soon as you get your hands in it. Now Rebel Strike has many flying Missions, but the new twist is the 3rd person action/adventure part. A lot of people I know who have this game seem to be comparing it to Rogue Squadron II. They claim the 3rd person part, while a good idea, doesn't seem to deliver. I've never played Rogue Squadron II.

  • Excerpt: Okay, so the new Star Wars movies fully and completely suck. Just let it go. Then run out and pick up Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike and re-live the better adventures of the first long-ago, far-away galactic trilogy.

Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike

The Armchair Empire
12 November 2003
  • Conclusion: It’s very cool to blast stormtroopers up close and personal, but the on-foot sections are rudimentary at the best of times. The action during these sequences is reminiscent of Resident Evil, believe it or not. The camera angles are fixed and track lines set so it’s often the case that you won’t be able to see who’s shooting you from just off-screen. In these circumstances, the tried and true button-mashing prevails.
