Excerpt: About a year ago I had the opportunity to review the game Star Wars: Obi-Wan . I wasn't particularly complimentary. A year later there is a curious sense of symmetry in reviewing another Star Wars game, but this time reaching rather different conclusions. Jedi Outcast is a very good game. The difference this time is that the developers were Raven Software, who have a wealth of experience when it comes to developing first-person shooting (FPS) games.
Summary: Looking for a great port of an excellent PC shooter? Keep looking...
Pros: A port of a highly acclaimed and excellent PC title, The Star Wars universe is here to see and interact with, Wield a lightsaber and get some kicks with the variety of force powers at your disposal
Cons: Controls are guaranteed to turn off many gamers on the first sitting, Graphical problems even less picky gamers won’t be able to miss, Takes too much time and too many levels to hit its groove, especially when combined with its other problems
