Conclusion: This game is very much the movie going between Spidey and Peter. Plenty of places to go and things to do. From stopping robberies to stopping Doctor Octopus, Spider-Man 2 is filled with lots of things to do to keep you busy until Spider-Man 3 comes out.
Excerpt: Spiderman, Spiderman, does whatever a man can - with a few jumps here and there and maybe a bit of web-slinging. This was the case, at least, in older gaming iterations of Spidey's adventures.
Excerpt: Because merely following the plot of the movie would make for a short game, the designers saw fit to add in a handful of visually redesigned classic Spidey villains to handle when you weren't busy with Doc Ock.
Excerpt: Do you remember wanting to be Spider-Man? Crawling on the walls, shooting gooey webs out of your wrists, and knocking out baddies with your super human strength? Maybe you just wanted the beautiful girl.
Summary: In 2002 when Activison struck a deal with Marvel to make a game based on the up and coming Spiderman motion picture; many people were overjoyed with the thought of being the web-slinger again. Predictably, Spider-man: The Movie was a mediocre game.
