Summary: This is simply one of the greatest games of all time. In every area - be it gameplay, artwork, music, characters, storyline, sound effects or animation - it shines, thereby constituting a splendid tribute to the grand civilization of Ancient Egypt. Indeed, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy deserves to be held up as a textbook example of how to create a videogame.
Summary: Now, heres a game thats new and original-another platformer in an already overcrowded market. The question is, does this stand up to the competition? The storyline is basically, you as Sphinx, who is a demi-god, attempting to stop the evil Ra from taking over the universe. At the same time, the ruler of Eygpt has been turned into a mummy, and its your job (and his) to try and resurrect him to his former glory.
Summary: when i played this game, at first i wasn't impressed. but after the first level or two i found that the game really picked up and i loved it!! the story is great. an evil egyptian god is trying to wipe out an entire civilisation so its up to sphinx to save the world! there's a mummy that has been cursed and you use both him and sphinx for certain levels in the game.
Summary: Top game. Must be one of the best games i've played ever. Maybe eventopping the classic Banjo-Kazooie games but i doubt that. The graphics are great as they are. no need for life like graphics here. The puzzles are so good, it can take you hours of exciting gameplay toconquer them all. It doesnt get boring i can say though. I dont like games which can take a day to complete, but this is taking meages! it has a unique storyline.
Summary: I'll get the one bad thing out of the way right now, since it is only a small thing, but for me it knocks a star off since this problem no doubt does not occur on the PS2 version. The graphics and fluidity in the game are gorgeous - let down occasionally by a slow frame rate, and the game jerking from frame to frame. Probably a fault in the conversion to GC, and not a major problem - definately not one that should put you off buying the game.
Summary: To sum this game up in 1 word it would be brilliant, but brilliant doesn't cover it fully. This game from the moment you start to play does not stop the ongoing mind numbing puzzles that are either easy for the elite puzzle solvers, or very hard for those who don't think exactly the same way. But this game is not just about puzzles, this is also about action and advenure.
