Summary: I'm not sure what the hype is. It's good enough as a game, but it's too much of the same thing after a little while and really doesn't do it for me as a gamer. It's fun for little bit with other people around but yeah, that's it really.
Summary: This game is so-so. At first I was really excited to play this game because I saw Link on the cover, but once I started playing the game I was quite upset. This game was fairly easily for me. Its more of a lower standards Mortal Combat. If you are a button masher I suggest you do not get this fame because you will beat it in less than 15 minutes. All in all this game did have a lot action and it did somewhat satisfy my craving for fighting.
Summary: soul calibur is not the best fighter, though in the gamecube version you get to play as link and that was pretty cool. pretty much your just trying to fight your way through a whole bunch of characters to get a sword called the soul edge thats what you doin all the soul calibur games.
Summary: This game is great. Except the story line it's a little cheap, but hey the battles are great. The controls are a bit confusing though, but once you get the hang of it you'll love it. Also the graphics and animations are great!. It almost looks like if the characters were real!. The unlockables are awsome, u can get so many things like swords, costumes, weapons, etc.
Summary: Probably one of the best fighters on the Gamecube. The addition of Link as a guest character makes this game all the more amazing. Really nice graphics and great controls. The story mode is quite nice too with additional weapons to obtain and new characters to unlock. Also features Yoshimitsu from the Tekken series, but he plays differently as the fighting is more weapon based.
Excerpt: "I bought this game about 3 months ago for my gamecube,as I had already owned the Dreamcast classic of this great 3D weapons based beatem-up. Basically stripped down this is a beatem-up albeit with weapons, but that would be taking a very cynical and overly genralised view ,the beauty of this game is the way all levels of players can enjoy it ,be it button bashing amateurs ,to people who have spent hours and hours perfecting counters ...
Pros: nice selection of characters and locations and Link from zelda is playable !
Cons: Doesn ` t feel quite as memorable or fun as Soul calibur on Dreamcast
Excerpt: "I'm not a big fan of 'beat em ups' in fact the last one I played was Street Fighter on the SNES. But SC2 came with such high recommendations that it seemed wrong not own it or at least have played it. Does it really live up to the hype? Well overall yes, any fighting game that keeps me playing for hours on end must have something going for it. The graphics are superb arcade quality and the sound effects are spot on. Plenty of characters to choose ...
Pros: excellent graphics & good one player modes
Cons: is there enough depth to keep you coming back?
Excerpt: "This game is worth buying if you like fighting genres, it has a massive amount of weapons, with 11 for each character. The choice of characters is great because their are many different styles the characters use, such as destructive, samurai and ninja-style. The sound and graphics are top quality for gamecube and you get cool speeches from the characters at the start and end of a battle like "Don't cry" "Massacre" "is their no other way" "I'll ...
Pros: Large Variety of weapons, characters and good story .
Cons: Longlivity, its good until you complete it .
