brilliant game but Wii version is probably more appropriate

Summary: Brilliant game but a wii version with motion controls was released a few years ago and so i think the gamecube version (which is playable on Wii) is out of date. Still a very good creepy game but i recommend going for the Wii version if you are buying this game for wii

Pros: An interesting story and the fact it seems like a proper survival horror game !
Cons: weak graphics and its incredibly expensive now !
The original Resident Evil rises once more from the grave...

Excerpt: "This is the original Resident Evil as you’ve never seen it before. Forget the one zombie model and the identical corridors that made navigation hell. This time round there are a multitude of beautifully (maybe grotesquely would be more fitting) rendered zombies, and equally exquisite backdrops. Now obviously graphics aren’t everything, but in a game that thrives off tension and shocks, great graphics can really add to the atmosphere. Would you be ...
Pros: Resident Evil 1 as it was meant to be, Graphically very good, Some extra content for old fans
Cons: Clunky controls compared to the more streamlined Resident Evil 4 and 5
Summary: The Gamecube edition of the ultimate survival horror game Resident Evil, is a fantastic take on the original story of the Playstation game that started the whole franchise off. The gameplay is fantastic and obviously a little more advanced than the original, the story is pretty much the same with the exception of additional scenarios and a boss-type character called Lisa. The darker, more gothic look and concept of the game makes it all the more scarier.
Excerpt: "...Gamecube remake of the first Resident Evil game, in my opinion, is slightly better than the original. Whilst I enjoyed both games, the remake was much more insightful and frightening to play. Game Plot The player chooses the scenario they want to play which is Chris or Jill. I have only ever played as Jill as her scernario is easier but it is completely down to the players preference. Jill, a member of S.T.A.R.S alpha team, alongside Albert Weskter, ...
Summary: Remakes. Remakes are the classic double edged sword of the computer game world. On the one hand, most people like the idea of seeing their favourite games from yesteryear remade with cutting edge graphics and sound, and maybe even the odd tweak to make the gameplay more exciting. But on the other hand, changing the look and feel of a classic game robs it of the retro charm that most people find so appealing.
Summary: What a good game! I used to be far too scared to play anything like this...but me and a friend sat down one day, whacked this on...shrieked at a few zombies...were reduced to trembling wrecks at some points...went slightly insane when there was a creepy sound...and pontificated about the puzzles. Anyway...the graphics are amazing for an old game on the gamecube...especially the water animations.
Summary: The original Resident Evil was groundbreaking. Playing the Zombie B-movie genre for all its worth, it used shocks, scary music and scarce ammo to make the player genuinely scared. However, the Playstation and Saturn original versions do look quite dated these days. This Gamecube remake is the perfect way to enjoy the original game without the frustrations of the limitations of the older consoles.
Summary: This is a brilliant remake of the psone horror game. The graphics have been improved and the spencer mansion has a lot more detail. You have the option to play as one of two S.T.A.R.S members (jill or chris) a virus has been realesed and has turned the scientists into blood thirsty zombies...
