Great football game with no restrictions

P. Marck, amazon.co.uk
18 May 2010
  • Summary: This is a fully enjoyable football game, even though it's old it still has its power inside, and a gamer that likes football, then he/she will surely enjoy this. A bit disappointed that this was the only game released of this franchise. We got FIFA and PES but an alternative like Red Card is always welcomed.

Fun fun fun

  • Summary: Throw aside the normal rules for footie. Take a ball, teams from all over the world, an ignorant ref, and a load of crazy moves. You've got RedCard. The main idea of the game is like any other football game, but this time you can hack out annoying players to your heart's content without getting sent off. Kicks in the face, deliberate tripping, and simply diving into the player are al ways of gaining possession.

  • Excerpt: "When I first got this game i had a right laugh with my brother as we played each other. The fun is endless as you kick your opponents up in the air trying to win the ball and produce shot hard enougth to send the toughest of goalies intot he back of the net. Unrealistic football at its best as you use your power up gauge to perform inhuman feats like run 80mph down the wing or severely hurt your opponents (not to mention sometimes the ref). The controls ...
  • Pros: Original and fun way to play

23 August 2002
  • Summary: the gameplay is great. who needs realism? if i wanted realism i'd go out with a football. You cleary want fun adn this is what it provides. you can tackle/cripple your opponents with flying headbutts, flying kicks and shoves. There is a great 'slo-mo mode which gives you various shooting animations when yuor turbo bar is up one of which is from the matrix. Also adding to the humour are the bonus' you can unlock.

  • Summary: Red Card soccer is a brilliant and fun game.In the game there is no offside rules,Your willing to kick people in the neck, tackle thye ref and also you can do matrix style kicks to score. The best part of Red Card is the multiplayer mode. The one player mode can get a bit boring a bit. Overall this is a solid football game on the Gamecube. But it is not a relalistic as ISS 2.
