Summary: This game is great. No doubt about it. The story is interesting, while a bit generic. The old geo-mod tech allows you to destroy many things, especially in multiplayer (such as destroy bridges, walls, etc.), but sadly not everything. There is a good variety of weapons in this game (my personal favorite being the Nano Grenade Launcher :)). Graphics are not the best, but it looks good enough. The multiplayer is excellent. It reminds me 100% of Quake's multiplayer.
Summary: For those looking for a slightly stealthier FPS, such as 007 Nightfire, look away now. This game throws you in, all guns blazing. Gameplay: Great fun. The trill of it runs through your body playing this. You wipe out hoards of enemies; turn a corner to find another ten backed up by some sort of helicopter. It can be hard, it can be easy but always worth playing.
Summary: Red Faction...what a game..Blow up stuff out of bordem, and find that it is the way! Big guns, big enemies, big drill thing that was pointlessly cool..but anyway, what i'm trying to say is that it was one hell of a game, and would need a bloodey good game to live up to it. Along came Red Faction II. First impression "Bloodey hell...I just took out that wall.." And so on and so forth for...pretty much teh entire game.
Summary: The other reviewer must be playing a different game - this is a decent first person shooter, with cool weapons, excellent death match modes, a story mode, good graphics and the whole style of it is dark, moody and quite different to Timesplitters 2 or the other FPS's on the Cube. On the whole I find that I keep returning to play this, and seeing as you can pick it up really cheap in some places, you can't go wrong - get it second hand, you'll enjoy it.
Summary: this game sucks. the first red faction was great. The plot was good, the gamepay was good it was a great game to play. but this game is lacking in all of that. it's set on earth with an unheard of character, what happend to the revolution on MARS?
