Pikmin 2

Thunderbolt Games
28 February 2005
  • Excerpt: Reality sucks sometimes. It hits you when least expect it, when everything seems to be going according to plan. You could be staring at the TV in a comatose state, then suddenly realize that you’ve got a term paper due in the morning. You could be cherishing your paycheck, and then you remember that you’ve got to pay your rent for the month. Yes, all those little things that you tried to forget always manage to catch up with you.

  • Excerpt: So let me get this straight… I’m supposed to be shepherding a bunch of walking flowers who get eaten by almost anything – including other plants – around a strange planet inhabited by giant bugs and spiders that wear shoes and have four legs so that the company I work for doesn’t go broke?

  • Conclusion: THE VERDICT: A well-made sequel. If you loved the first game you will adore Pikmin 2. The single-player game puts lots of new twists on the original's template and there's a whole ton of replay value with the new challenge mode and multiplayer modes. We're looking forward to Pikmin 3 .
