Great game, though doesn't surpass it's predecessor

  • Summary: Metroid Prime is my personal favourite game ever made. Retro did a magnificent job of taking the Metroid series and spinning it in a different direction while still maintaining what is inherently 'Metroid' about Metroid. It still looks excellent to this day and plays magnificently.

  • Excerpt: This game is undescribable. To start i paid £4.99 for a copy of this game. Which to be honest is what it is a copy. this game is almost exactly the same as the first one, but not ground breaking. the first gamecube version was moderate..
  • Pros: Sooner or Later it has to end .
  • Cons: Where to start .  .  .

  • Excerpt: After the release of Metroid Prime on Gamecube a sequel was inevitable. The combination of silky detailed graphics, action orientated gameplay and challenging/enjoyable puzzles made gamers want more. And so Retro Studios, in conjunction with Nintendo, duly obliged. The original game had it all.
  • Pros: Great graphics, storyline and gameplay
  • Cons: Music found wanting somerimes , still some mindless backtracking
