All in all, Mario Superstar Baseball is a must have if you already own the previous installments of the Mario sports franchise. Not quite an inside-the-park home run, but it'll have you swinging for the fences every time you take the field. Read more

  2. Mario and friends have gathered for some free spirited ball, but their game isn't strong enough to hold an audience.

Somewhere out there in the field of dreams, there's probably someone who would love Mario Superstar Baseball , but it's difficult to figure out who. The controls and performance are too unreliable for non-baseball fans to make this a hit a la Mario Kart , and true fans just won't be satisfied by the troublesome fielding. There is some solid fun to be had with the pitching and batting alone, but trying to enjoy that alone is like rooting for a single superstar in a team... Read more

This is a great sports game for two players, and still alright for three or four. The variety of possibilites alone allows for games to be continually entertaining. Read more

So what is my final verdict? I’ve played all the Mario Sports titles and liked each one, and frankly, this one is no exception. Namco did a really nice job using Nintendo’s flagship mascots and their talent to develop a baseball game that is sure to please a lot of fans. Anyone who didn’t know too much about video games would think it has been developed by Nintendo themselves! It’s easy to pick up because it’s not as deep as a standard baseball game but yet it... My husband and I played this game every night for a month straight after we got it. It's completely addictive! I was surprised how much I liked it, since I don't usually like sports video games. This game, however, is different. Mario Superstar ... Read more

Mario Superstar Baseball is a fantastic game to play with of a bunch of friends. Even those who have never picked up a game controller can figure out what they need to do very quickly, making for a very level playing field for all involved. Pitching and hitting and fielding the ball are all that's needed to control in this game, base-running and everything else is handled automatically. Highly recommended! Read more
