An easy Mario Party Game that doesn't compare

  • Summary: the game was very easy to play, meaning that you could get around the maps without a problem, pretty much whenever you want. This is bad because in a 20 turn game all four players would have 2 or 3 stars. In other mario party games, particularly mario party 4, you relied more on luck to get where you want, and the maps were much different. In Mario party 5, however, the maps were all basically the same with different colors and titles. Very disappointed.

  • Summary: For those who like the franchise, MP5 is is another solid title in the series. However, the game is lacking some of the elements that made Mario Party great in the first place. The "capsule" system that took the place of item shops is largely irrelevant and honestly makes me want to skip the item gathering process altogether. To put the point bluntly, I don't like spending 10 coins to booby trap a space that opponents may or may not land on.
  • Pros: Just plain fun
  • Cons: Repetitive gameplay

Time to crash this party

But it'sa me...MARIO!, Amazon

  • Summary: First of all, there's not a whole lot to say on this game.It has changed a whole lot just improved the same game.Mario Party 1,2,3,4,5 aren't really differen't games they're just more developed versions of the same game. But since I have nothing else to do,I decided to rate it. One of these reasons I gave this game three stars is (as others have said this isn't a new brillant thought) it's really not worth the money.

Come on Nintendo!

  • Summary: Since I'm a very big fan of the Mario series and Mario Party series, I was very excited when this came out. I ran to the store and waste MY $50 that I saved up to buy a game. I don't think it's worth $50 at all. It's just a repeat of the last Mario Party game. Yeah, there are a few new characters and mini games, but they don't really impress me. I mean, the game boards are just getting boring. I used to play on 20 Turns.

Good ol' fun!

  • Summary: This game is just like the previous Mario Party games. If you are new to the series, this is a really fun multiplayer game, but its really boring as a single player. Anyways, this game is all about minigames, and there are plenty of it! You will have blast playing this game with friends/family members. The graphics are nice, music is Nintendo themed, and anyone can pickup a controller and play, its really simple.

Simply not good enough

  • Summary: I have played all the Mario Party series' and this is by far the weakest gameplay wise. Mario party 4 was IMO the best just coz it was more enjoyable than the other 3. Mini games in it were great and it wasnt easy to win. This game however, story mode i managed to complete in 2 hours since you use a mini board chasing 3 mini bowsers challenging them to duels to take their coins. Once they all reach 0 coins, you win that level. SIMPLE AND TOO EASY...EVEN ON HARD MODE.

Mario Party 5

  • Summary: Mario Party was originally released on the N64 and was the cause of many blisters with its painful rotate the analogue stick mini games. Then 2 followed which improved on this and then 3 which was the last N64 game. Mario Party 4 was released on the cube and is probably the most rubbish of them all, but now, there's 5... Graphics Nothing to big and fancy, they do their job by looking clear and distinctive.
