Expert Review

  • Summary: Despite the obvious flaws that the game has, it's a pretty good game and it is a definite improvement on last years game. Acclaim is a couple of years behind THQ's brand of wrestling games as THQ are on their fourth game for both sony and Nintendo and because of this there must be some consideration when comparing the games as Acclaim have not had as much time to tweak LoW.

Legends of Wrestling II

The Next Level
7 February 2003
  • Excerpt: Wrestling just ain't good anymore. Back in the late Eighties and early Nineties, it was eminently watchable. The Four Horseman, Andre the Giant, World Class Championship Wrestling, the AWA - those were the times, by gum! Back when you were pretty sure it was all fixed, but you hoped it was authentic. When the press still pretended that the wrestlers actually hated one another. War Games, the Mulkeys, the real "Rock," scaffold matches, Piper's Pit , on and on and on.
