Gamecube's take on Final Fantasy?
28 March 2006
Excerpt: "Background info on game A typical final fantasy game always has some amazing or strange story behind it, well for this one it is based on a world where apparently it is inhabitable and the only way to survive is by living within a certain area and this area just so happens to be protected by a rare crystal. The village that you live in is currently losing their crystals power and must replace it soon or the village will die…and so your journey begins ...
Summary: I got it but unfortunately I neither own nor know people who own a gameboy advance and we're missing out on a lot. I wouldn't recommend it if you're playing on your own. It's very basic and very repetative. And there's not a lot of freedom in the gameplay.
Summary: I am a nintendo fan and proud, the first Final Fantasies were on the S/NES and they revolutionised the RPG gaming industry. Companies such as Camelot taking the system under there wing with masterpieces such as Golden Sun. But then Square joined with Sony, and Final fantasy went with them. It was a dark time for Nintendo RPG fanatics, and the mourning went on. Then suddenly Crystal Chronicles was announced, we got out our torches and went searching for new hope.
Summary: This is a very hard game to review for me, as it is a great game, but a bad Final Fantasy. The gameplay is great with a simple menu system, handled using the shoulder buttons to flick through the moves on the "command list". The character creation is good enough, if a little restricted, and the graphics are good. Dungeons are all a bit uninspired, and get tedious, as do the constant barrage of enemies.
Excerpt: "...to get through the whole final stage without dying. Now, it's not all doom and gloom - the graphics are incredible, especially the miasma and magic! The gameplay is very good too, when you start new levels it's always a very enjoyable affair, although the fact that you hvae to play certain ones through countless times can become rather tedious. I paid around £35 for this (or rather my girlfriend did) and the fact it includes a GBA connection ...
Summary: well first of all this game is nothing like usual final fantasy games its more of a hack and slash game. there are still a few things that resemble the series such as magic but thats about it. really before you buy this game you should rent it to see what its really like. i bought the game as soon as it came out then took it back the next day and could final fantasy x-2 which is in my opiniun much better. hope this helped.
Summary: So, Final Fantasy, back to Nintendo after all these years. Sure, there was that brief affair with Sony, but we can forget all that-provided , of course, that Crytal Chronicles blows it's final Fantasies VII and onwards out of the water. It doesn't? Ah... The Final Fantasy games, renowned and revered for their intricate storylines, deep character development and general pretentious goodness. Crystal Chronicles is to Final Fantasy as Dark Alliance is to Baldur's Gate.
Summary: Ce Crystal Chronicles sortie sur game cube me laisse un goût amer...
