Nintendo World Report

  • Summary: The fighting game based on the wildly popular anime series hits the GameCube.
  • Pros: DBZ universe is presented in an accurate and appropriate manner., Some of the fighting visuals are really, really cool-looking., The story will keep you playing to see what happens next, even if you’ve seen the whole series.
  • Cons: As a fighting game, it’s a sub-par button masher., Limited control scheme, Offers little incentive to really master the game

Dragon Ball Z Budokai

The Armchair Empire

  • Conclusion: There are three “episodes” to fight through, and most seasoned fighting gamers should be able to cruise through these in about two hours. However, there is still quite a bit of content to unlock and play through for the Dragon Ball Z fan. After unlocking all the characters, it is possible to edit and purchase extra moves for each character. This can be done in the world tournament mode where “zenie,” the Dragon Ball Z currency, can be won.

Dragon Ball Z : Budokai

areagames.de
26 February 2004
