COME AND BEAT THE DRUM.

apatra, Ciao
17 June 2007
  • Excerpt: "...Donkey Kong game was one of Nintendo’s first franchises and became a heat in the 16 bits super Nintendo. During the s nes days, I preferred this game to Mario very much. But sincerely spoken, during the launch of the Nintendo 64 game, I really lost contact with the donkey Kong do to the Nintendo 64 Mario world that dominated every thing. Then later, I got in contact again with the donkey Kong again. This time I got my interest more on the exclusive ...

Donkey Konga- Great fun for all the family!

  • Excerpt: "I purchased my copy of donkey konga several months ago, and it has been excellent value for money and I have had a great deal of enjoyment out of the game, and the rather novel bongo controller! It's been a great icebreaker for parties I've held, and it presents a fun way to kickstart any party. I've played it with my boyfriend, mum, grandad and friends, all of whom have enjoyed the game greatly. I particularly like the "jam session" feature, which ...

Bongtastic Fun

  • Excerpt: "I've never played a music rhythm game before this and had my reservations as to whether I would like it. Turns out I am hooked and considering on buying the 2nd release as well. It's so different from your typical type of game with no story to follow, no characters to build, no combat system to learn, and no landscape to roam. Instead, we have to bang the bongo's to the sound of music and in time with moving patterns. Simple, yet so addictively ...
  • Pros: Simple, Fun, Accessible, Hilarious Multiplayer Action, Bongos are Brilliant
  • Cons: Poor Graphics, Sub - Standard Mini Games, Not Enough Songs, Noisy

  • Excerpt: "DONKEY KONGA This game is certainly different, and is certainly good fun. When I first saw this I thought that it was a bit plain and not much to do, but I love it with its catchy songs and cleverly placed beats for you to try and get time and time over again. Story DK (Donkey Kong) and his little brother Diddy Kong found some bongos on there walk in the jungle. They were so fascinated by them that they took them back to there grandpas hut. ...
  • Pros: fun, improves your rhythm by loads
  • Cons: its a pitty you cant put your own songs on

Learn to Play the Bongos!!

  • Excerpt: "...Resident Evil. And then there's Donkey Konga. A game designed surely to give as many laughs as possible. Donkey Konga is based upon rhythm action, developed by Namco. Not that GameCube are the first to come up with this idea, it's just taken them a while to catch on. The aim of the game is the beat a pair of bongos (sold with the game) in time to the music and instructions on the screen. As the music plays, different coloured symbols scroll ...

Donkey Konga

"andysidley", amazon.co.uk
4 February 2005
  • Summary: This is a great game. It is worth getting. The gameplay is good but single player mode is very boring after u complete all the songs. You can hear the storyline by waiting about 20 seconds at the main menu! The range of songs are good. I think the song "Busy Child" is absolutely crap. The person who sung it should be packed into a suitcase and hurled into the sea.

23 January 2005
  • Excerpt: "...finally come on board with Donkey Konga. Developed by their pals Namco, who have got a good history in music based games; it follows the same method of similar games and will appeal to all types of gamers. The aim of the game is simple. You bash your bongos or clap your hands in time with the music. You can follow the actions on screen indicating whether to hit your right drum, left one, both at the same time or clap your hands. There are several ...

gamecube aint dead yet

  • Summary: i wont go into much detail here because all i need to say is WHAT A GAME. in my opinion it is good family fun especially with the bongo controllers (i have 4). One downfall in the game though is that to get the most fun out of it, you have to play it in multiplayer mode. If you want family fun, my suggestion is to buy the game along with a bongo controller each for the family, you have some long lasting laughs.
