Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO

Game Vortex
26 August 2003
  • Excerpt: We live in an age where 3D graphics flirt with reality, and the war of realism is never decided because game producers continue to come out with more impressive games. Whatever happened to the 2D games that defined my generation earlier in our video game lives? Enter stage left a neat little diddy called Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO . It brings us back to a time dominated with Ken and Ryu's fireballs.

Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO

Gamebits
6 July 2003
  • Excerpt: In the past, Capcom and SNK have collectively been responsible for many of the best 2D fighting game series. SNK produced popular series such as King of Fighters and Samurai Shodown; and Capcom, of course, created one of the most influential fighting games of all time: Street Fighter II. So it should come as no surprise that Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO, a joint effort between the two companies, is one of the best 2D fighting games out at the moment.

Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO

Nintendo World Report
18 October 2002
  • Summary: At last! 2D fighting on the GameCube! Capcom vs. SNK 2: EO combines many elements of Capcom and SNK's classic fighting games and packs them into a solid piece of quality gaming.
  • Pros: Bonus music tracks in this version, Looks and sounds pretty nice, Lots of characters and six different grooves, Lots of functions in training mode
  • Cons: Controlling the game is more of a wacky adventure than it should be, Obligatory stone-age sprite complaint here, So, yeah, you should probably get an arcade stick

Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO

Nintendo World Report
2 October 2002
  • Summary: What happens when one of the greatest 2D fighters ever meets up with one of the greatest controllers ever? A mess.
  • Pros: 48 Characters, that's one spicy meatball, Color and Groove Edit modes for more fun, It's in 2D, like all fighters should be
  • Cons: GameCube D-Pad wasn't made for this game, GC-ism/EO mode not really a replacement for arcade controls, L and R buttons shouldn't need to be clicked to register

Capcom Vs SNK 2 EO GameCube Review

DarkZero
2 February 2004
  • Excerpt: Ever wanted to beat down on Ryu from Street fighter with Iori from King of Fighters? No I thought not, if like me you have never heard of SNK or KOF the latter part of the name is hardly going convince you to buy this. Or if unlike me and you are a fan of the both series then you will most likely be wetting yourself at the concept of this game.
