Expert Review

  • Summary: Burnout 2 is without a doubt the best racing game on the GameCube - It's everything B1 wasn't and more. This version improves every aspect of the PS2 version with more crash junctions, better graphics, lighting effects, more polygons, better texture resolution and anti-aliasing.

Game Vortex
5 September 2003
  • Excerpt: Burnout , originally an arcade game racer, had one feature that separated it from the rest of the racing genre -- it was not afraid of crashing. In fact, it featured perhaps the most indisputably outlandish and powerful crashes ever seen in a game.

Burnout 2: Point of Impact (GameCube) Review

Cubed³
27 May 2003
  • Summary: Let me just say for anyone reading, it is official: I HATE RACING GAMES!!! Put me in front of Sega GT or Metropolis Street Racer and I am not only bad but I get bored very quickly. I'm of the school of thought that racing games shouldn't need anything other than an accelerator.

  • Summary: never quite received the attention that it deserved. Often times old-school gamers will whine and moan about the lack of true arcade racers yet when they finally receive one, they do everything in their power to avoid it.

Burnout 2: Point of Impact

  • Pros: Geniale Grafik, Saubere Steuerung, Macht süchtig
  • Cons: Keine lizensierten Fahrzeuge, Kein richtiges Intro
