Summary: 2002 FIFA World Cup is a good game for a while, the world cup is fun and there are plenty of teams that you can play as. But after winning the cup for the second time, it gets a bit boring. If you bother to unlock all the secret teams its more than likely you'll be bored of the game by then. The worst part of the game would have to be the commentaters. If you bother to unlock all the secret teams, you'll have heard every single comment about five times.
Summary: I bought this game only a couple of days ago, and now, already, i'm bored sick of it. The good things are: -amazing graphics -resonably good commentating The bad things are: -rubbish gameplay -restricted to world cup only -no custom controlls -worthless camera though if you don't compare it to other football games, you may find it quite good.
Excerpt: Uncontested emperor of the sporting reactualization, Electronic Arts could not let spin the World cup of Football 2002. Always appreciably directed arcade, this new version benefits from a particularly gravitational preparing. Only title to profit from the official licence World cup, Electronic Arts proposes a play increasingly more spectacular to us. For this reason, the modeling of the stars, selected among the 32 qualified national teams, is particularly impressive.
Summary: The graphics are amazing and the play off the game is even better. The teams and comentary are so amazingly realistic that you would not believe it's actully a game.I advise you to buy this above most games. It never gets boring but can get a bit irratible sometimes. The sound does not fault at all.I think its a good game and I recomend it!
Summary: If you own a PS2, buy "This Is Football", and if you own a 'cube, buy "ISS", coz thy're both much better games and you're not just limited to a World Cup. Also, the squads are nowhere near accurate and all you have to do to score is run straight at the keeper and shoot. It works every time on all difficulties. But, if you're a FIFA fan, you'll probably love it anyway.
Excerpt: I recently purchased this game whilst caught up in the world cup hype. I had played Fifa 2002 on the Playstation 2 and had been dispointed in its game play as it was very agrovating but was suprised that Fifa World Cup 2002 has been improved to make it much better. The game is very slick and the game play is alot easier although it is quite a bit different to the earlier Fifa games.
Pros: Good Graphics, slick movement, good gameplay
Excerpt: This is a fantastic game better than all the other footbal games available. The graphics are spectacular and and the game play is just superb. The game is completely up to date with the new strips and players and the comentary is great. The crowd are there to cheer you on as you make your way to the top. This game makes you feel like you are in the the football stadium yourself because the sounds and quality of graphics are so immense.
Pros: Great graphics and all the up to date players and strips .
Excerpt: EA’s latest takes on the elusive football formula and delivers a highly enjoyable 90 minutes. In terms of looks the stadia renders and crowd in particular are magnificent by far the most impressive football game ever. On the pitch itself the facial textures of players is a major improvement on the previous instalments and players are actually recognisable from distance. Other details such as shadows and pitch periphery are faithfully reproduced too.
Excerpt: I RECENTLY BOUGHT THIS GAME ON (PS2) FORMAT HAVING ENJOYED PLAYING FIFA 2002 OVER THE PAST 6 MONTHS. THE SOUND EFFECTS AND THE GRAPHICS ARE FANTASTIC, THE STADIUMS IN JAPAN ARE PORTRAYED IN A REALISTIC MANNER. THE CREATORS HAVE MADE THE FACES OF THE PLAYERS TO LOOK LIKE THE REAL THING, THIS IS A VAST IMPROVEMENT SINCE FIFA 2002. COMMENTRY IS PROVIDE BY THE VOICES OF JOHN MOTSON & ANDY GRAY.
Excerpt: Only a few days from footballs biggest festival, the world cup and all are geared up for it. England fans are geared up to get knocked out after a dodgy group stage, Scotland fans are ready to be bored and Brazil fans are ready with a long list of excuses if they don’t go all the way (example Ronaldo’s excuse of ‘having a fit’ before the final) Me? Well I am ready to play Fifa World Cup 2002 all summer.
