Excerpt: One of the few games to make use of the Game Boy Color's infrared communications port though I've not been able to check this feature out for myself. There's a 3D rendition of Rayman in the introduction which, for a GBC is pretty impressive. Luckily, the quality of graphics do not let up in this game - through the light of my GBA SP Rayman looks great! The detail, the use of colours and animation are all fine.
Pros: Simple to play, pretty graphics, clever level design
Excerpt: Well, to start off this opinion I’ll give a short, healthy introduction: This is a sell-out game. In the times of 1996-ish, the PlayStation was on the market and was in its growth stage, still. Ubi Soft had developed a game, and they called it Rayman, which was named this after the main character’s name. This game was a 2D platformer, and some of the levels in the game were very bright and cheery.
Excerpt: This is an original platformer, starring Rayman, an armless, legless and neckless little man. STORY 6/10 Rayman has to explore new lands, saving the animals which have been trapped in cages by an evil man! Along the journey, he defeats many bosses (if you are good at the game) and learns new skills, including a kickass punch and helicopter hair to make him fly!
Excerpt: When I was a young boy, many moons ago :>. I had a gameboy, i decided to get it out yesterday, and went down to my local games shop to buy a game. Hmm Rayman, only a fiver.why not. ! The latest in a long line of new GameBoy colour releases from Ubisoft, Rayman is here to rock your world. I have to admit, ive also got the psx version, yes i know- very sad. But hey its a decent platformer.
Excerpt: When i first saw Rayman in a catalouge it looked totally sh*t but my mate had it and i played it round his and it was not that bad, then i next brought it online form Game, then after a few weeks it makes a affect on you and you kinder get addicted to it... Last week i was playing rayman on my Game boy color at 8 PM and when i stopped it was 12 PM, i could hardly belive it, in what seemed like 1 hour i was playing for 4 hours.
Excerpt: I happened to be in HMV the day Rayman for the GBC was released, and i bought it.... for 25 pounds.... wow i was feeling rich that day... anyhow... it is not a bad game, the graphics are nnice and colorful.. and the controls for the game are very responsive, if you die... its probably because you didnt press it in time..
