Excerpt: Playability is the key to any game despite the recent arrival of PS2 and the imminent release of Gamecube and X-Box. It doesn’t matter if the graphics are the most realistic ‘in the world – EVER’ if the gameplay is as exciting as a visit to the dentist. That’s why Micro Machines (V3) is such complete and utter joy, even on the rather old Playstation. You must know what Micro Machines are but if not then basically they’re miniature versions of big toys.
Excerpt: Probably the best multiplayer game for more than two people on the playstation. Even with just two joypads, up to four people can play at once by sharing controllers. Always a laugh and quite easy to pick up; you can be wizzing around on the still impressive looking tracks in minutes. It is a great game for all ages and abilities, although best played amongst players of your own ability level.
Excerpt: No, i don't mean the cars designed by Rover. Micro Machines has come to the Playstation. Most people focus on the multiplayer aspects, but it can be fun with just one player; there is a mode where when you win races you get cars, and when you win races your car is upgraded! This is just one of the great features. Get a couple of multitaps and some friends and this is an absolute must have!
Pros: Excellent multiplayer, and single player modes
Excerpt: This game is great, up to 8 people can play at once and as a party piece it is not to be missed. It continues where Micro Machines on the Mega Drive left off, it is updated with 3D graphics but these are very dated and simple. This doesn't matter at all though, because this is a good game and despite being very old I still love it. The premise is simple, you race small cars around everyday environments, such as school labs, snooker tables and kitchens.
Excerpt: Micro Machines V3 is an excellent creation from Codemasters. It is a very fun minature car racing game which has many different tracks on many different terrains. The main idea is to compete in tournaments against the computer or your friends to win brand new miniature cars. You can decide whether to use power ups, which are very good fun, like mallets and rockets. The best part of the game is being able to knock your friends off the table!
Excerpt: Micro machines v 3 on the p s x is a conversion of thegreat p c game of the same name. It has now made its transfer to the p s x and it hasn’t lost any of its amazing game play at all. In m m you get to race little cars around circuits, sometimes with weapons. This game has a birds eye view, which I find works well on any system. Micro machines v 3 is probably one of the best racing games out on the p s x apart from g t.
Excerpt: Micro Machines V3 is a great game and a great addition to the classic series. The first games on the megadrive were really enjoyable and great fun for all. The newer 3d version on the awesome power of the playstation is really good. The graphics are good and the gameplay is really good too. The multiplayer version is also really good and a great laugh with your mates. The sound and controls of the cars are really good too.
Excerpt: Codemasters have done it again, with another great fun racing game. The level of gameplay from these Coders is always good, and Micro Machines for the Playstation is no exception. You can even start with a driving test, and there are a multitude of further gameplay options which enhance the longevity and playablility of this game. The four and 8 player modes (yes, 8 players!
Excerpt: we are delighted to recieve a third version of this annoying game from the codemasters. Delighted Im sure. a sort of 3D veiw is the major make over for this one. Brilliant. Sarcasm aside the early versions on the mega drive were emensley playable and could absorb me for hours, but then micro machine toys were the big thing you could buy them in collections of five.
Excerpt: Micro Machines has always been a fun, exciting and hilarious way to spend an hour or two. And Micro Machines V3 is no exception. The fact that it is in 3D helps to make it more realistic and it opens up new things that are possible to do. The 3D allows lots of new things, from being burnt to a crisp in a bunsen burner or seeing a brain move about below you.
