A great underrated game for the PSx.
12 April 2013
Summary: Great game, one of my all time favorites on the PSx. As with any PSx game the graphics are showing their age, but honestly, as an avid collector of Playstation games, this is truly an underrated masterpiece, it is the top of it's game as a survival horror/mystery game, and provides scary atmospheres, visuals, creatures, with a delightful, intuitive game play, masterful musical score, and great story line, this game is a must have for PSx collectors.
Summary: The superb Lovecraft love-in Resident Evil? What's that? This is what people might have been saying if it wasn't for AITD. It is the original (and still the scariest) survival horror game, released at a time before that catch phrase was even considered a genre. The game is pseudo3-D, with polygonal characters, menu-based inventory, dramatic, cinematic camera angles, guns and ghouls.
Summary: Controls could be better some glitches story lines nice.I rate it bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb
Get the PS3 version, the PC version is not updated
9 February 2010
Summary: "Alone in the Dark Inferno" is a lot better. It's on PS3, an updated version of this game. Do NOT try to play this game on Xbox 360 or PC. The PC does not have a patch even 2 years after the release date so I doubt it will ever come out. The game concept is good and I wish I had the patience to deal with the control to make it through but I ran out. Good thing you can watch all the cutscene and ending on Youtube. I bought it because I am a fan of the original series.
Summary: The mouse is rather sensitive, and I haven't found a way to change that. There are quite a bit of controls to remember for PC but other than that a great game with good graphics and a good storyline so far.
