Game Freaks 365

  • Excerpt: Mario has long seemed to be an afterthought in the handheld market. After Super Mario Land 2, every traditional Mario platformer released on a Nintendo handheld was a port and/or a remake until New Super Mario Bros. on the DS. Who stepped up to take his place? None other than Wario. Starting on the original Game Boy, Wario had a string of four platformers, ending with this one on the GBA.

Wario Land 4

Portable Review
23 October 2005
  • Excerpt: Wario in my opinion is one of the most underrated figures in all of gaming. Sure he may be greedy as hell, but the games he stars in have brought us a lot of joy over the years. Yet, he gets hardly any of the glory he deserves. Wario Land 4 for the GBA was released with very little hype surrounding it and it is still one of the better platform games that I've played, which one of the better ones I’ve played also includes Wario Land 3.

  • Excerpt: In his fourth adventure in the starring role, Wario encounters an article in the newspaper about a recently-discovered pyramid which houses a fortune's worth in gold in jewels. Wario, whose greedy ambitions only make him more determined, heads out to the pyramid to unlock its ancient secrets.

Wario Land 4

Super Mario 128 Central
29 September 2002
  • Summary: Wario Land 4 is a great game with lots of improved and great graphics. It contains a lot of interesting new elements, but recycles too many of the old ones. Especially when the new elements are timed backtracking (no one likes backtracking anyway) and a heart meter, when Wario Land was known for not dying in the previous games. Well, Nintendo tries to justify this "dying" by exiting the portal and zoomed back into the chamber.

Wario Land 4

GamersHell.com

  • Excerpt: I'm pretty sure a lot of Nintendo fans were surprised when Shigeru Miyamoto introduced the world to Wario many years ago. I happened to like the character, and after having bought whatever had a picture of Mario's somewhat chubby face on the cover, the time came to try something new. What's funny is how according to the old Nintendo comics Mario actually used to bully Wario, who was kind of a shy person, and not the evil villain type you might've initially thought.

Wario Land 4

Nintendo World Report
2 January 2002
  • Summary: Despite being an excellent platformer on its own terms, Wario Land 4 may leave fans of the series disappointed. Read Jonny’s review to find out why.
  • Pros: Above-average graphics, sound, and control, Lots of secrets to find, and finding them is a lot of fun, Peerless level design, with some of the best platforming puzzles ever crafted
  • Cons: Escaping levels doesn’t add much to the gameplay, Hidden CDs play worthless nonsense instead of the game’s great soundtrack, It’s not very different from Wario Land 2 or 3

Wario Land 4

Push Start
15 June 2014
  • Excerpt: “Um Mario diferente.”
  • Cons: Nada a assinalar
