Excerpt: When many people think of Capcom, they
usually think of 2D fighters & platformers. The Street Fighter
series, the Darkstalkers series, the various "Vs." series they’ve been
involved in, all the same, it’s unlikely that Capcom would go outside
the genres of platform and 2D fighters. But, back in 1996, Capcom
proved us wrong. They released Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo to arcades
that year. Many would say the game’s arcade run in America was pretty
much a failure.
Excerpt: One of the genres that innovates the most is the puzzle genre. People seem to invent the oddest ideas of how we can exercise our wit, and with the relatively good hardware we have today a lot more potential than before. Super Puzzle Fighter 2 on the Gameboy Advance is a good example of a fun idea that keeps you completely focused during the entire gaming session.
