  • Summary: Sonic Adventure 2 is another great game from the Sonic Team. Level size and design has been improved this time around and there's plenty to keep you busy even if some of the rings will take forever for you to find. Replay is extended with all the stuff you need to find and the unlockables.

  • Excerpt: Who would have believed it three years ago’ Sonic and Mario sharing the same circuitry’ Still, the council tax around these parts will get a lot lower, that’s for sure. With Mario’s flagging need to furiously fling fireballs, I don’t need to wear asbestos Y-Fronts on my way to the kebab shop anymore. Sonic has chilled out with impressive results – to the point where he’s agreed to sprint inside my handheld so that I can report on Sonic Advance 2 .

Sonic Advance 2

Portable Review

  • Excerpt: Sonic had a great start on Gameboy Advance. While Sonic Advance proved to be one of the best platform games available for the powerful handheld, Sonic Advance 2 improves on many levels and proves to be better overall than the original. This Sonic is faster, longer and quite more addictive..

  • Excerpt: It’s pretty hard to hate that blue blur. Back in the early 90's, Sonic was considered the “anti-Mario,â€? and wasn’t your average day platformer. Not only did it have speedy gameplay (a genre which Sonic created entirely), but it also had the length and replay value which no other game had. Sonic the Hedgehog and its two sequels were practically the reason to own a Genesis. However, once the Genesis was finally considered “deadâ€?

  • Cons: Ability to look up or down was removed, Bonus stages impossible to get to, The novelty of autoscrolling bosses wears thin, Tiny Chao Garden is now locked

  • Conclusion: Beaucoup de bonnes choses!
