Summary: The original Shining Force one sega genesis was for a long time my favorite game and it still ranks as one of my favorites to this day. This remake was very much welcomed by me and is basically the same game with a little refreshed graphics. This game and the Shining Force series in general was very very innovative its in rpg/strat hybrid combat system .Shining Force also has a very interesting and engrossing story and it challenging the first time thru for sure .
Summary: It's a great game, like the original. But there is a new character who makes everything super easy. When you finish it, you can even play with him from the beginning. However, it's great. If SF2 came out, it would be better though. If SF3 came out, then it would be 10000000 stars!
Summary: I first played the original version of this game on the Sega Mega Drive when I was a kid. As soon as I found out this was available on a hand held I jumped at the chance to own it again. It is not dated nor any easier than when I was 10! You move you character around a map made up of a grid much like current day Fire Emblem on the Wii and 3DS. You have to be very strategic so that you characters don't get killed by enemies that also have to move in a grid.
Summary: As a huge fan of the Shining series since inception with Shining in the Darkness on the Sega Mega Drive, I was a little apprehensive when I heard about a remake of the first Shining Force game. I thankfully was not disappointed - added gameplay elements and characters meld into the story line easily, and the added plot elements add replay value. Multiple playthroughs are rewarded and I would advise the purchase owing to the level of joy derived.
Summary: This game is fantastic. I almost decided not to get it when i heard some revies of it being a substandard remake or the like but i decided to take the plunge when i found it on special offer in a local shop. I have not regreted that decision since as this is a fantastic game. When i heard that it was similar to Advance Wars i was expecting a good game but with not real story (as i have not played the original shining force!!). Yet this was a fantastic experience.
Summary: I could hardly believe it when I heard Shining Force was coming to the GBA.It was easily my favourite Megadrive game (along with Shining Force 2).I have heard from people in the know that some small alterations have been made to the battle system (I hope they havn't messed around too much) but early news sounds positive. After hearing this great news I have had to dig my faithful old Megadrive out of the loft and give SF another airing. When the GBA game is released you...
Summary: Here goes. Shining Force was perhaps the best RPG game in the history of the gaming console. The atmosphere was incredible, the game was awesome. The small black cartridge provided me with what could almost be called a life force. Loved it. Since my Mega Drive got sold, I have been confined to a rom (I still have the cartridge). Now, I here the remake is coming to GBA. I assumed this was a straight port, but was I shocked when I read more.
Summary: Yes, this is indeed the one from the mega drive and yes, every gba owner should buy this when it is released. It really should have come out a long time ago on the advance, I know i would have bought one sooner if it had. Quite simply this is one of my favorite RPGs of all time (bettered only by it's sequel,) topped not even by the likes of final fantasy 7.
Summary: OK now I'm assuming that this is the Shining Force from the Mega Drive. If it is then we are in for a real treat. This was THE best MD rpg ever. If you have ever played Advance Wars then you will know what this is about. This is turn based battles at their best. Lead your party of heroes against the mights of the hordes of Runefaust. Take on Goblins, Dark Dwarves, Rune Knights, the evil sorceror Darksol.
