Kidzworld
23 June 2003
  • Excerpt: Rayman's the armless, legless hero of his world. He's catching some Z's when the big bad Mr. Dark wallops Betilla the fairy and steals the Great Protoon. Without the Protoon the Electoons scatter and the balance of the world is tossed around worse than the new kid at high school.

Rayman Advance

FunRanch.com
27 April 2002
  • Excerpt: Rayman is back in his brand new adventure for the Game Boy Advance! The evil Mr. Dark has imprisoned the happy little electoons, and Betilla the fairy is powerless to stop him! It's up to Rayman to free the electoons, defeat Mr. Dark, and restore peace to the valley.
  • Pros: It's satisfying to finally free all of the electoons in a level.
  • Cons: you have a certain amount of continues, and when you're out of them, you pretty much have to start over.

Rayman Advance

The Armchair Empire
27 September 2001
  • Conclusion: "RA is very playable and it’s easy to just enjoy a few levels as you’re waiting for dinner or need a quick videogame fix." Cripes! Another cute platform jumper – this one starring a limbless guy named Rayman.
  • Pros: - Great looking game, - Easy to get into for all ages, - Solid control, - Many levels
  • Cons: - Doesn’t advance the genre, - More port than original game

Expert Review

TheStar.com
25 June 2001
  • Excerpt: Rayman was a sleeper hit on the Sony PlayStation back when it was released in 1996; an excellent "family" orientated game apparently lost in a sea of more aggressive titles that made up the bulk of the PSX library.

Test : Velocity 2X

GameHope
29 June 2003

Rayman Advance

Gamereactor
27 May 2003
