Pokemon Pinball: Ruby and Sapphire (GBA)

ccgr.org
4 July 2013
  • Excerpt: This game was on display at my local Circuit City and I must confess, I got hooked on it right then and there. I like the \'pick up and play factor\' of this game. Unlike other Pokemon titles, this is not an RPG, but a pinball game. Your goal is to capture Pokemon, get a high score, and have fun!

  • Excerpt: Due in no small part to its overnight success, analysts began to label Pokémon as a fad, stating that, eventually, the trend would run its course and be forgotten. Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire

Portable Review
12 July 2006
  • Excerpt: Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire are the third installments in the main line of Pokémon games, and bring a lot to the table. Thunderbolt Games
13 September 2004
  • Excerpt: PokÈmon is lame. Everyone knows this. Only young children could possibly gain any satisfaction traversing boring, danger-free worlds while trying to round up hordes of fruity-looking critters. And what’s with those battles? Only four different moves for each PokÈmon? Fainting? Give me a break.

  • Excerpt: doesn’t have much in the way of Poképorn – God did create the Internet for a reason, after all. However, with this game, Nintendo shows that the longtime arcade pastime is still a viable option for current systems as long as it’s tailored for the home. By combining the wonderful adventure elements of Pokémon with simple ball-and-paddle mechanics, the developers have created a fun and genuinely engaging handheld version of pinball.
