While it is usually very easy to guess what they are going to do, they always go that extra mile to defy your expectations somewhere along the line. In the case of Pokémon Emerald , that a director’s cut variation of the Ruby and Sapphire games would be made was easy to predict. What I didn’t predict was that a game so very similar to several others I had played would be so very engaging.

They further prove this by releasing the eleventh version of this series with Emerald, which retains the Pokemon charm while offering little to draw in new fans.
Summary: Reviewing a game like Pokémon Emerald retrospectively opens up a whole can of Wurmples. Time has a tendency to show things in a different light and unlike time, the Pokémon franchise has almost been standing still, trapped somewhere in 1996 constantly reliving its glory days. This is both good and bad news, as the games are always well made, solid good fun and ever so slightly addictive, but it also means that the mechanics haven’t moved with the times and feel archaic...
Conclusion: Avevo qualche perplessità riguardo questo anime, ma guardandolo ho cambiato completamente opinione, sicuramente è una storia molto particolare, ingarbugliata, gli episodi fra loro sono solo incastrati e mal inseriti l’uno nell’altro, ma il suo vero fascino forse è questo…tre storie che cercano di incontrarsi e che raccontano a loro modo tre mondi diversi.
