Excerpt: It seems to be a truism that any game starring Mario is going to sell well. That classic name conjures warm fuzzies for most Nintendo fans, whether they started out on the 8-bit NES series or with Super Mario 64. Mario vs. Donkey Kong does its best to uphold that heritage. This game pits the mustachioed Italian plumber against his original nemesis, Donkey Kong. Unlike Andrew, I didn't play the original Donkey Kong '94 .
Excerpt: He'll never win, of course. There's something cruelly ironic about that "versus" in the title. After all, if Mario ever really vanquished any of his enemies, he'd only have appeared in about three or four games. Which is why Nintendo, realizing that such an ill-fated prophecy would be better suited to the character than the company, have constantly reset the battle lines for every outing in the beleaguered plumber's 23-year career.
Excerpt: It's been years since Mario and Donkey Kong have gone at it in a platformer/puzzle game, unless, of course, you count the re-releases of Donkey Kong on E-reader and then on GBA for the NES Classics series. One could almost have thought that the two had patched up their relationship since Donkey Kong has become a staple of Mario Kart, Mario Party, and other assorted Mario spin-offs were it not for Bowser and Wario's involvement in some of them.
Excerpt: As the keen eyed reader may have noticed from the screen shots or even the title, Mario vs Donkey Kong is an update to that arcade classic Donkey Kong. Brought to you by Nintendo Software Technology , it's full of all those little foibles that characterize NST games. To the uninitiated that means great graphics, great first impressions but usually some huge flaws somewhere down the road. The first thing you'll notice about Mario vs Donkey Kong is the impressive graphics.
Excerpt: If you like Lemmings, you'll love Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis for the Nintendo DS. From the simple gameplay to the cute faade, March of the Minis will provide you will hours of lavish entertainment.
Excerpt: The rivalry between
Mario and Donkey is back for Donkey Kong has resorted to stealing to
get the toys he loathes for. Of course, Donkey Kong is looking for the
coolest toys ever, known as Mini Mario’s. He sees an advertisement for
them on his TV and decides he must have them. The store’s sold out, but
the Mini Mario manufacturer is only across the way! Donkey Kong busts
into the plant and steals the Mini Mario’s and Mario's on a mission to
get them back.
Excerpt: From Nintendo’s American development studio in Washington comes Mario vs. Donkey Kong, What they have done this time how ever is taken the normal Donkey Kong arcade game and added some news moves and abilities and as well as some puzzling bit and also kept the feel of the original Arcade games. There is a pretty dodgy story behind the game but don’t let that stop you from enjoying a fun filled game.
